FORMAT
The Asia Open Golf Championship 2025 will consist of 72 holes of stroke play, with a cut applied after 36 holes for the leading 60 players plus ties. In the event of a tie after 72 holes, the champion will be determined by a sudden-death playoff. If inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances arise, the Championship Committee reserves the right to make adjustments as needed. Modifications may include shortening the tournament, altering the cut criteria, or changing the playoff format.
Exemptions
The champion of the Asia Open Golf Championship 2025 will earn:
- An invitation to compete in the Masters Tournament
- An exemption into The Open Championship
- An exemption into The Amateur Championship
The runner(s)-up will receive:
- An exemption into The Open Qualifying Series, with the opportunity to secure a place in The Open Championship.
